The UK fire safety industry is at a defining moment. The Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017, which claimed 72 lives, exposed a systemic failure in regulation, culture, and accountability. In response, Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review made it clear: the system was not fit for purpose and required fundamental change.
That change is now underway. The Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) Regulations 2026 have reshaped the regulatory landscape – introducing stricter accountability, clearer responsibilities, and the “golden thread” across a building’s lifecycle. The regulatory framework has changed. Now culture must too.

25-year background in software and sales to his role as a subject matter expert and founder of Ogilvie Fire Protection Ltd, spearheading the development of cutting-edge compliance applications in response to the Building Safety Act.
Bruce remains committed to fostering robust partnerships and driving excellence as he navigates the evolving landscape of modern fire safety.

Commercial & Founder
Robert is a seasoned business founder with over 30 years' experience advising companies on corporate finance and M&A. He has held senior roles at Barclays, Andersen, and his own boutique advisory firm, supporting businesses across sectors including technology, electric mobility, clean energy, and healthcare.
He brings a strong strategic perspective, with a relentless focus on execution and delivering both vision and value.
